If you like the tube sound you can't go wrong with the Rev. they work fantastic in recording and live performances. I do'nt know anything about the other 2 other than they are SS but i'm sure they sound great. I guess one has to choose between Tube and SS. You can't go wrong either way. |

When Im out in the clubs working I get so many compliments on my tone . They will ask me what kind of system is that ?. I just take them to the stage and let them see the rack system. The REV IS THE TONE MACHINE IMHO |

|
|
"Night before last I inserted the new LeMay preamp into the power amp section of my 400 thus miking the amp like our original setup. It was a definite improvement over Peavey's preamp. I recorded the rest of the night using this setup. When the session was over I asked the engineer to let me do some experiments going direct with only the LeMay preamp. I tried it with and without a Red Box cabinet simulator direct box. The best sound for steel comes straight from your preamp going direct to the recording console. This is by far the best sounding preamp for steel guitar I have ever worked with. The recording engineer is a son of a steel player and knows what good steel tone consists of. He was still partial to his AD preamp, but had rave comments on the LeMay. I preferred the LeMay over the DeMaria preamp. The sound coming out of the studio monitors was nothing short of incredible. It is the best recorded steel tone I have ever achieved. There is a definite warmth and richness throughout the tonal spectrum. I have never experienced low end separation like I am getting on this pre. Every single string is separate and distinct. As soon as money permits, I definitely want to get a second one. I will never go to a recording session without it. You have created a monster.
Thanks!!!

I'll get rid of my steel before I'd even consider parting with my Rev. It IS that good!! Consistent awesome tone night after night. |

I have not compared them all so I can't be any help there. I can say after probably 4 years of using Brad's Revelation pre, its still my favorite piece of gear in my racks.
