I'd really like to hear what one of these sounds like, as I'm contemplating purchasing one.
Thanks. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Hi Mike, I don't have a recording of it, but I do have a PEI junior. When I bought it in the early 70's, I was lugging around a 70 pound leslie speaker with a 95 pound Twin Reverb as well as a heavy MSA steel. When I was 30 years old the weight didn't seam to be a big deal. Anyway, not long after I bought the Junior I sold the leslie. To me it was almost impossible to hear any difference in the two units. I used it for almost ten years with a Gospel group in So. Cal. Over the years it has become very noisy, [ loud hiss ]. Try out the one you are interested in, and if it is quiete, you can't go wrong for a good leslie simulator. George |

I have no experience with the unit you are referencing, however, I utilize an H & K Rotosphere Leslie simulator when I play.
It is a stereo unit and I run it through the effects loop in my rack setup. In stereo you can really get the "swirling" Leslie sound. I keep the unit by my rack and control it via a two button remote switch located by my left foot. I have tried some other units but always revert back to the H & K. |

I agree with Erv. I went from a souped up Fender Leslie cabinet to a PEI Junior in the 70s. I tried many other simulators and finally settled on a Rotosphere in the 90s. It was the closest to the real thing until I got my MIDI rig with real organ samples. |
