This is a new resophonic tune I just composed in (low to hi) CGDGAD tuning. El McMeen, the great Celtic fingerstylist on standard guitar uses this as his standard tuning. some cool harmonies there. This one's vaguely Celtic, vaguely new age, I guess. Ideally, the low strings should move up in gauge to avoid some of the flabbiness and sizzle in the bass that happens tuning down to G & C.

I'm still woking out where blocking should happen so sometimes there's a bit too much ringing. I tried something new here with hitting the strings at the begining and end with the flat of the palm. I had in mind a military drum; kind of a lift from the Flamenco master Carlos Montoya's song Saeta. Montoya would - believe it or not - actually pull his 5th string A around his guitar's 6th string low E to get the sound of the snare drum in Spanish religious processions.

Nice melody and palm effects. I hear what you mean about the blocking. It's tricky. The low notes could sustain longer if you don't mind the input. I play upright bass so I am prejudice to a good bottom end. Nice work, would sound great on a Wiessenborn!

Thanks, Robert. I not only don't mind input I appreciate your comments very much. Within the limits of my ability and limited time to play and practice, I'd like to try to get better over time.
