Jerry, I'm illiterate when it comes to these things. Is this a rack mount unit? Larry

Hi Larry, it is made to fit in a rack, however, for several years I used my firsts one just as a stand alone much like you would a pedal. It is loaded with great presets but I found 2 or 3 that I liked most and pretty much stuck with those. It can be in a rack and used as a preamp into a power amp or it can be used as an effects unit and simply go into the input of the Profex II, from the output into the front of a combo amp or it can be used in the effects loop of a combo amp. It is a very simple unit to use. I have a Tubefex as well as a Lexicon MPX I and various stomp boxes so I don't need this Profex II right now.
