Hi Y'all,

I have collected a few of these over the years, and it's time to thin out the herd!

I have 2 Ibanez Saber Bass Guitars in what I believe they called Jewel Blue. both have been played and show what I consider to be normal player wear (a few small nick and dings). They both have straight necks with plenty of life left in them.

To my understanding these were produced at the Fujigen Gakki in Japan for Ibanez. They are VERY light with very slim/fast necks. Hot hot hot Active Electronics with a big clean sound.

They seem to fall in the rare, but not particularly valuable category. I'm thinking ~$400 each shipped in a generic hardshell case to the lower 48 only, but would consider trades for a shredder guitar or nice Tele type guitar.

Picture below is of me playing one of the Basses at a gig, I can upload close ups, or send individuals if there is interest.

Please email offers to crosstie@hotmail.com, preference will be given in order of requests received (if necessary!)

I think you'll want to upload a closer-up photo of the bass. This one's really pretty hard to see and interpret.

Now, Jim. I'm afraid to express any interest, or ask any questions about this particular Ibanez bass. The last time I did you bought it and I had to have TWO sessions with the psychotherapist until I was no longer sad and blue. Crying or Very sad
Anyway, Walter, I did some research and these reviews appear positive for these basses, I too would like to see some better pictures. What is the model #? Is it a 900, 1200, or a different number?
Duncan

I have an old Ibanez, I believe the model is RG570, made in Japan that might be a "shredder" guitar. It's in very good shape but needs a good cleaning and someone to love it. Locking nut, tremolo, shark fin inlays, three super hot pickups, kind of a wine red metallic color. If you might be interested in a swap I'll dig it out and get a picture for you.
Thanks!

Hi Doug,

the RG570 would be a good possible contender for a trade, please send some pics if it is convenient.

I have a confirmed trade agreement on one Bass, the other is still for sale or trade, I would also consider trades for a Stewart Amp, Peavey Nashville Series or other Steel Guitar Voiced Combo.

If you are thinking of picking up Bass as a second instrument this may be the one you're looking for. It is very light & easy to play, you won't feel like you've been carrying an anchor around at the end of the night! (I used to play Saber Basses 8-9 hours a day when I was playing 3 house gigs)

Thanks for looking!

Hi Doug,

I have been reliving the Spandex years with the guitar you traded for the Bass Shocked My ears are still ringing!

It was real pleasure doing business with you. I can happily report an excellent trade experience for those that haven't worked with Doug in the past.

I have had a few emails about the remaining bass, it's the on the left in the picture, still looking for some $$, or a trade of comparable value. I might even be able throw in a couple of bucks for the right amp! Don't sit around wondering if you might have been able to unload that equipment you don't use anymore, at least give me a chance to turn you down!

BTW b0b - I will send in an appropriate donation when I have concluded dealing with both basses. (I know you're not worried about such things, but I like to make my intentions clear)

And as always, many thanks to everyone that participates in the Forum which is (in my opinion) one of the finest communities online.
