I'm looking for a pratice/small room amp. What would be a good choice? I would run my steel and a tele thru it.

I think the Nashville 112 would be a great all around amp. I use mine for several different applications...... Jack

I have a Peavy Micro Bass amp, they sell new for around $125.00, weigh about 15 lbs and really are a great amp for a small room.

I have a real nice fender stage lead 112
amp with reverb/1 imput but 2 channels/w dist
would be great for your steel and tele

I have a Vox DA5 that I use at home and for VERY low volume (acoustic level) gigs. It's only 5 watts, but it sounds good and has built in effects. You can also run it on batteries, so if you want to do any busking, this is the amp!

I'd like to put a good word in for the Roland Cube 60 - 60 watts, built-in effects and amp modeling. I paly steel and Tele through mine with no problem.

yes the cube 60 is a great amp
thats what I use for tele
steel also sounds good as well
but it only has one imput like my fender
112.......still a great amp

Another nice small amp is the Vox Pathfinder 15R. It's only about 120.00 new.

| I was needing a small amp for practice in our very small winter retirement park model home bedroom...bought a very inexpensive (under $100) new Raven brand guitar amp...20 watt rms with 12 inch speaker.....real nice "warm" clean sound with built in reverb or echo...satisfies me completely for practice. |

Where in Iowa are you? I live in Newton
I have a Nashville 112 that is a super amp for steel and lead. Great for the local clubs and smaller outdoors gigs.
I'm asking $450.00 a lot less than I have in it and have hardly used it.
Also have a AMPEG Bass amp in same excllent condition
if you might be interested. Although designed for a bass it sounds great for steel or lead as well.
They both look near as new and perform just as intended. Bass amp is heavy but on rollers and I'd sell it right as well. PM or email me if interested and I'll give you my phone number if you wish to talk.

| I'm a tube amp guy for the gigs but just for practice at home and such I use a Peavey Rage 158 - 15 watts with 8 inch speaker. it has a clean channel and overdrive channel and it gets the job done and I don't burn up my tubes. I've even used this at low level (small room) band practice and it does a great job. I see them used sometimes for under $40. |

I use two small Peavey amps, a Solo and a Blazer 158. The Solo can run at 10 watts on 8 D cells or 15 plugged in. The next smallest amp I use is a Fender HotRod Deluxe.

I'm with Bill on the Vox Pathfinder 15R. Got one a few weeks ago and really enjoy it. Versatile. Has reverb and tremolo. Handy if you also want to play some guitar through it. Obviously not meant for playing out, but some folks say they can play small venues by running the line out to an extension cab. |
