Good evening. Dave actually answers emails that I have written and seems like a very personably fella. I do not know what bar he uses but he would tell you if asked I bet.

Enjoy steelin'

Don't know what bar he uses but from the videos I have seen...he could probably use a lifter from a 1963 Chevy 327 and sound great

I have it on good authority that he uses a 15/16" BJS bar.

Rick you are right on, he uses the 15/16 Birthstone Bar 10 String. And he knows how to use it. I want to take this time to Say Thanks to each and everyone that uses the BJS Bars I do my best to keep on producing them as long as the Good Lord Allows me to.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving day.
Best regards,
Bill

It heard to sit down at my steel and pick up my BJS bar and not think of Bill, and the love for pedal steel he has put into that bar.

This post reminds me of a Tommy Tedesco seminar I attended .Tommy spent about 30 minutes recapping his enourmous and very impressive list of TV,Film, and Recording credits, then proceeded to "shred" in every imaginable style for 10 or 15 minutes. He then recounted the hours of practice and dedication it took to break into the L.A scene. At that point, he opened the floor to questions from the attendees. Wanna guess what the first question was? Yeah, it was, "what kind of strings do you use?" T.T. fired back...."why does that matter?"(censored) Perfect answer, BTW.
