You wanted to see here it is.I HAVE HAD DUST CATCHERS ON ALL MY BUDS THese WHITE FRETBOARDs LOOKS SO COOL AND IS EASY TO SEE IN LOW LIGHT, JIMMY MARTIN HAS CONVERTED ME OVER.
He asked me if I am happy with the trade, It could not be any better. If you ever trade with him you will be very happy, he has bent over backwards to make sure I am happy, I have surely found another FRIEND, and that is better than money in the bank with me as you all know I love all the people I have met at shows and on the FORUM.
For Rack owners, I am changing the Alum, pull rods over to harder steel rods, you can buy them at Lowe's, you can drive the olds ones out and insert the other cut to length rods, put them in a vice and just drive them in.
I am trying to find a way to change over the allen ends with the new type plastc thner ends, I always drop the allen wrench and it is easer to tune with the new Carl williams wrench.
Another thought I called Tom Palmer D2F covers last night to build a new pouch for the legs and rods, also we are planning to build a tote bag for the pedal bar and legs, will let you know how this works out, they have never made these before so it is in the planning stage, the bar on this one is very heavy, this one is 72 pounds in case, setting along side the williams the cases are something to se, the williams is over showed.
Sure is pretty.

Ernie,
I must say thats got to be one of the pirtiest Buds I've seen in a long time. Now i've never been real crazy about steel players names being plastered to the front apron of a guitar, I think it takes away from the looks of a beautiful instrument, but several of you guys down in Fla like doing that and to each his own.
I really do think you've made a very wise investment with this Sho-Bud. Even if you end up spending a few hundred getting it like you want it underneath, I still think it'll be totally worth it in the end. Great Lookin Guitar Ern. . . . .now play the heck out of it and enjoy that thang!

For most part it will stay set up at home, Nan likes the sound of the Bud, you know that was the reason for the trade. Jimmy is happy with the weenick and says it has grat tone and sustain as does all Martins great guitars. 2 reasons I traded that great one was to get back a Rack and barrel, also I just missed the C6 neck, playing out a lot of times I will do Fills first on E 9th then second time thru I will do then on C6, depending on th estyle of the song.
As everyone knows we cut our teeth on a lot of C6 back when. Playing a 6 string we, I would be changing tunnings all night, A major, E maj. c# Mi, you could change quite fast. 1 tunning for Coconut grove, another for slow songs, Little Coquet, Steel Guitar Rag, which we had to play sometime every nite
Much more could be said but you get the dirft.

My new Weenick guitar is modeled somewhat like a showbud.
