Very enjoyable. One thing that always rings clear in your music is the feeling that you enjoy making it. Not a small thing to get across because it's really an undefinable part of the listening experience but certainly adds to the enjoyment for the listener. Good mix of technical skill and taste IMO. Always well produced as well which is a whole other art form that few have mastered [Michael Messer records come to mind here]. I'm in for a copy to spin in the Tribo shop! Order to come... Thanks for posting the new stuff Smile

It takes a lot of balls to record a project like this and I think you've done a great job in expressing your love for Jimi's music while not being bogged down by the weight of such a task, at least from what I've heard so far. The wide range of sounds I think is symbolic of the gigantic influence Jimi has had, directly and indirectly, on modern guitar playing.

Nice work, Steinar.

I like the variety of tones and feels you've chosen to interpret Hendrix. I'm green with envy. Cool

Sounds great, Steinar. Thanks for posting this. I especially like your touch on the wah on "My Sweet Angel." What pedal are you using?

WHEN CAN WE GET A COPY!!

The physical master CD is on its way across the Atlantic from forumite Brad Sarno's Blue Jade Audio Mastering studio, I expect to have it any day now. Then I'll rush it off to the duplication plant, and hopefully have the CD available for sale around December 15.

I doubt it'll be availabe on CD Baby this side of Christmas, but I'll do my best. The problem for you US'ers is that shipping a single CD from Norway to the US is a ridiculous $12 if you want to order it directly from me before it's on CD Baby (I could always ship without the jewel case of course, if that's okay).
I'll also store a box of CDs in the US for US/Canada orders, as I did with my previous CD, but that may take some time.

I've pretty much given up wahs and don't have one on my pedalboard anymore, they always break down..
The one I use here is a Dunlop Cry Baby I borrowed from my nephew, it's been modified for a deeper sweep.

Great playing Steinar...interesting arrangments.....so, certainly not just "covers" in the sense of somebody trying to duplicate what Jimi did. Of course, doing it with a bar and lap steel just puts it into another league. Jimi, the great improvisor himself, would be thrilled at your homage to him in the way you did it. KUDOS!!

Wonderful playing, Steinar. Great project! The video has got me a bit worried about climate change though. I thought Norway would have been a bit greener. Very Happy
