Mike Sweeney: Mike is one of the most respected pro players. He has so many things to his credit it would be impossible to write it all here. He plays regularly on Broadway in Nashville as well as playing at other steel venues across the U.S. He will have a booth set up with his many excellent CD’s for sale. Mike is equally proficient on the both the E9th and the C6th tunings.
Leonard T. Zinn: “Uncle” Leonard is back with us by popular demand. Leonard is a Hall Of Fame Member and although he can play Country Music he is also most sufficient on the Hawaiian style instrumentals and Gospel tunes.
Ron Meecey: Ron will be performing with the Nick Nixon Band. We have all watched Ron ever since his first time on the steel guitar. Ron is also an excellent guitarist and has since developed into one of the best steel guitar players in our area.
DeWitt Scott & Don Curtis: DeWitt “Scotty” Scott is a Hall Of Fame Member and is well known as, “The World Ambassador of the Steel Guitar” and has set the standards for most all steel shows around the World! Don Curtis is a teacher, writer and performer and is one of the busiest players around on live shows and recording sessions. Normally that would be what I would do...but I'm on a corporate jet next week...not a commercial flight. Is there anywhere in to local St. Louis, St. Peters, Lakewood area I can go heard someone with a live steel player Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday next week? _________________ Carter D10 9 x 5, Nashville 112, Goodrich L10K |

Just wanted to say thank you to Scotty, Mary and all the Scott family for inviting us out for yesterday, And, to all the great folks who attended the show. It was a lot of fun. Teresa and I got home about midnight last night and I went strait to bed so that's the reason for the post being today.
For those who didn't make the show yesterday, Make your plans to go next year. You'll be glad you did. _________________ Zumsteel steel guitars, Telonics and Peavey amplifiers, GHS strings. |
