Doug--That was a great song and Im hoping to be able to do it with at least some of style. Was that a BIAB sound track you were using for rhythum? Keep up the good work.

That's one of my favorites also. I've been playing it since I first JB play it in 1949. He seemed to like that tune quite a bit.
Nice easy going job on that Doug. Kind of strange that the sheet music is in 2/4 time. Everyone plays it in 3/4 time. |

The sheet music I have for this song is in 3/4 time. It was hand written by a teacher many years ago. About 10 years ago a Forum member sent me a pile of hand written music for old standards and this song was in the pile. When I played it, I remembered hearing a steel guitar version long ago... I think it was Little Roy Wiggins and Kayton Roberts. The melody has a way of sticking in the mind! The song was also recorded by Jerry Byrd, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Rudy Vallee, Hank Snow, and probably a lot of others.

I use that same backing pattern on quite a few gospel songs.
In fact, I used it last night on "I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)". |

| Les - On most operating systems you can click on the link with your right mouse button and get a menu. One of the menu items will be something like "Save Link As" or "Save Target As". From there, you might be asked where you want to save it. |
