Very nice Doug. The 'One Rose' was written by LANI McINTIRE who was the brother of the great steel mentor, Dick McIntire. |

Very beautiful Doug. I was hoping it would go on for another two minutes at least. At any rate that got me right back onto my steel to start picking out the piece.
It certainly is an addictive instrument. |

Doug--That was a great song and Im hoping to be able to do it with at least some of style. Was that a BIAB sound track you were using for rhythum? Keep up the good work.

So nice, I had to play it twice.
Actually, four times so far, but now I'd better get back to work.
That's beautiful.
I may have to try and figure out how to play that one, myself. Thank you. |

Really love the Hawaiian EZ going sound and tone of your style here.
Short, but sweet...

That's one of my favorites also. I've been playing it since I first JB play it in 1949. He seemed to like that tune quite a bit.
Nice easy going job on that Doug. Kind of strange that the sheet music is in 2/4 time. Everyone plays it in 3/4 time. |

The sheet music I have for this song is in 3/4 time. It was hand written by a teacher many years ago. About 10 years ago a Forum member sent me a pile of hand written music for old standards and this song was in the pile. When I played it, I remembered hearing a steel guitar version long ago... I think it was Little Roy Wiggins and Kayton Roberts. The melody has a way of sticking in the mind! The song was also recorded by Jerry Byrd, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Rudy Vallee, Hank Snow, and probably a lot of others. _________________ My Site / My YouTube Channel

Doug,
I use that same backing pattern on quite a few gospel songs.
In fact, I used it last night on "I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)". |

Doug,
If this is an example of what will be in the up-coming book, you will sell out the print with no trouble.

Les - On most operating systems you can click on the link with your right mouse button and get a menu. One of the menu items will be something like "Save Link As" or "Save Target As". From there, you might be asked where you want to save it. |

Thanks a zillion there John; it worked like a charm.
Now Dough just has to chase me for royalty fees because his song will be traveling with me in my trusty Ford.
Thanks to you as well Doug for your generousity.

Doug my son, are you familiar with JERRY BYRD's olde tune "BLACK MOUNTAIN RAG?" Or, it's possible I might/should be referring to "BLACK & WHITE RAG".
I'd be interested if you are. |
