Here's a cool blackface 4x10 Fender Concert Amp (circuit AA763) from 1964 that has been through the ringer visually but is still in good working order, with a recent cap job and reissue Jensen C10Qs.
The transformers are all original, and the only modification I know of to the circuit is that the tone pots on the Normal channel are bypassed, making that a killer Marshall sounding gain channel. It sounds incredible for low volume gigs on guitar with this channel on about 1.5, plenty of volume and gets to the edge of a very warm, sweet breakup. The breakup on this channel becomes bolder and edgier as you increase the volume, with full blown Jimmy Page type dirt by 4. Should be easy to reverse to stock set-up if you don't like that arrangement.
Vibrato channel sounds great, classic chimey Blackface Fender that stays pretty clean up to around 5 on the Volume. The vibrato effect itself does not sound great and I pulled the vibrato tube, which I have done in my other BF Fenders. I think it warms and thickens that channel a little.
The amp was just serviced and tubes biased. I have gigged it at least 15 times in the 6 or so months that I have had it without any issues. It is plenty loud for any reasonable club gig playing blues, country, classic rock (45 watts).
I have about $1k into it and am open to cash or trade. Vintage amps, guitars, etc. Will trade straight up for a Fender Telesonic if anyone has one. Or $800 plus shipping, PayPal preferred.
I can take pics of the chassis and trannies or provide further info if you are seriously interested in the amp.
Thanks for looking!

Had a trade offer for a nice sounding D10, but I'm not really looking for a PSG and only play E9. Unless it's an S10 PP or something very cool like that, in which case I might offer my S10 Pedalmaster or something else on top of the amp.
Interested in Dobros and laps, particularly Fender Deluxe 8, Sierra 8 string or cool guitars or tube amps. |

Hey Marc - that amp is so ugly it has to sound good! You can't beat 4 10's. Good luck on your sale. _________________ 2013 Brook Torridge, 2014 Martin 000-18, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, Quilter 101R head, understanding wife of 45 years. 'Steeless' at the moment but looking...... |

Hi Randy,
Thanks for the offer. I'm not interested in any trades that require me to lay out cash right now. Even up is preferable, unless someone has a vintage s10/sd10 as mentioned above. Then I would consider throwing out some other possible trade items.
Skip - yeah, she's ugly, but she can sing! If I didn't already have too many large Fenders, I would keep it. Hope you are doing well! |

Amp has mojo in it! These don't come up very often. Worth it. |

Thanks Bill! Yeah, she has mojo and tone all day long, and is a reliable workhorse.
600+ views and only 2 trade offers? There must be someone out there with an SF Vibrolux or something that they would like to turn into a big 4x10 BF! |

$800 for a real BF Fender 4x10 (think BF Super minus the reverb). All orig 1964 except the speakers and a few caps/resistors. Sound like it should. |
