| If you want to "post" it on the forum, you must have the MP3 song file on a server somewhere that is accessable (e.g. not on your own PC) and then post a link to that file on the forum. You don't physically post the MP3 on here. |

Try a site like http://www.mediafire.com/
After upload the file they should give you a URL to link to when you want to post it. |

I'm no guru at this either... but my recent investigation has gotten me to:

http://drop.io ....... Great way for band to have a centralized spot for songs at next practice. This is where you'd post your .mp3

Sometimes your ISP will allow you to setup a website on space they provide to their customers. There would most likely be a URL similar to these examples, to your files:

http://members.example.com/~your-account-name/filename.ext |
You would upload your files to the server, following their instructions as provided by their support team. Then, you would create a link to download those files, by file path and name and embed it on our Forums, like this example:

John Cipriano, I went to mediafire and evidently I had already signed up before (and forgot) but I could not remember my password and now I can not find the "lost password form"on their site. Can you please tell me where to find the lost password form? Thank you very much. Don |

Jack,
LimeWire has detected and aborted when a Virus is detected (doesn't mean some haven't slipped through the cracks). Either way, I prefer to use a product that allows for a royalty stream to the writer/author. What product out there will offer the same ease-of-use and capabilities as LimeWire, that are legit? |

Limewire, because people can download illegal music, is considered one of the "bad" services. Many users have had security issues because of Limewire posted on the Dell users forum.
Bittorrent is considered in the same arena. |

Bingo! What a nice song and pretty steel guitar sound!
Next time you can change the link text to the title of the song you want to promote, or just to something like: "Don's Tunes." Surround the words with URL tags, add an = sign after the opening [URL then paste in the URL to the online location.
Here is an example, using your URL.

Well, bittorrent is going to be around forever because it is most people's method of choice for getting linux discs and (legal) concert recordings. Lots of good stuff on here: http://bt.etree.org/
Good call on drop.io, Jeff. If I wasn't paying for hosting I would definitely use that and maybe I'll use it anyway.
