2006 Beard Gold Tone Resonator with receipt from Greg Boyd's House Of Fine Instruments . This is the laminate Mahogany model and it DID go through the Beard shop for setup and QC . In other words, it is not a gray market asian import . Other than a few very light marks from my left sleeve button on the upper bout it's in excellent condition and includes a good padded Fender bag . Also a Canadian Levy's Dobro Strap and an unopened set of John Pearse G tuning dobro strings . Currently tuned to open D with a set of GHS phosphor bronze . Plays , looks and sounds really good... I just don't have time to play it .
$390 . You can check my seller feedback on ebay under
trowerpower1
Personal Check or USPS money order is fine . I can take Paypal if you add their 3% fee of the total . Pickup in NW Ohio is okay otherwise shipping from 43614 is additional.
Dobro and gig bag weighs around 9 pounds and in a Fender shipping carton around 20 pounds .

I ain't knocking a rocking good deal, but just for my own information, I'm under the impression that ALL Goldtones are Asian imports
Question

Some, like this one I guess, was evidently setup by the Beard shop in MD and should bear their sticker visible through the left screen hole.

Nice score Ron !

That's correct .
Greg Boyd's House Of Fine Instruments sold me the instrument and informed me of this situation . Greg's very helpful and we talked quite a while back when I purchased the instrument in 2006

asian schmasian...gold tones are made in china just like everything else these days, these are much more worth the price than your designer custom specialty boutique overpriced models!

hey hatem...it's probably not necessary to look through the screen holes when it clearly says beard on the pegheag.

FYI, the signature on the peghead doesn't mean the guitar was set up in the Beard shop. Paul sends Beard parts to the factory to install in the instruments that aren't going through his shop. Look for the label inside under the left soundhole to be assured of a Beard setup.

Yes sir ! I hear good things about them and have traded a couple emails with them too. They have a nice website that is easy to navigate with good pix & info. Sometimes even sound samples of the instrument in question !

...for that, we have fashion makeovers and plastic surgery. Take your pick, or use them together.
