There was a PSG Player in Central California in the late 1970's and early 80's named Jerry Barnett (I think). He played for David Frizell's band when David and his brother Allen owned the Mirror Room club in Lindsay, CA. I think the band was billed as "Country Fever" at the time.

When David had his big hit in 1981 and went on the road, Jerry played with the house band at Jim's Place in Clovis, CA (east of Fresno) for awhile. I don't seem to remember the name of that band, but I used to listen to them while I was a student at Cal State Fresno.

It was my exposure to his playing that sparked my interest in the instrument. I looked for him on the Forum but didn't see his name. I could be a little off on the name, but he signed a Banjo Head for me back in 1979 and I found that the other day. From his handwriting, it appeared to say "Jerry Barnett".

I was just wondering if he is still gigging and, if so, where. He was a good player.
