If it's OK, I'd just like to give a quick mention to the debut CD by the London-based Redlands Palomino Co (who whom I attempt to play pedal steel). It's called By The Time You Hear This ... We'll Be Gone, on Laughing Outlaw records (available on Amazon in the US, I think). If you dig Gram & Emmylou you might like what we do.
Anyway... to find out more, visit our website: http://www.redlandspalomino.com/ |

Thanks for the comments, guys! You're playing is an inspiration to me, Jon... hope to see you soon (I understand you're in the throes of recording with Laura at the moment - look forward to hearing the results. On a more sombre note, you must have been as saddened by Peelie's passing as much as many of us over here. He was part of the fabric of my life and I still can't believe he's gone.) |

David, Yea, John Peel's passing was quite a shock. I just talked to Laura who just got back from the funeral. His support for her and so many others was truly incalcuable and It's a shame that people over here don't have much of a grip on John's influence on music lovers of many stripes. Hope the new cd does well and I look forward to hearing it. My best to the rest of the band! |

Hi David
The CD is good, and Bob Harris played a track last evening on his Radio 2 country prog. |
