I was just talking with Fred Justice and the Southwest Steel Guitar Show on January 13, 14 & 15 is shaping up to be just a killer! Although I don't know every single player who will attend, I understand Johnny and Joan Cox as well as Russ Hicks and Terry Bethel will be performing this year (along with all the great talent from last year...Randy, Doug, Hal, etc...).

I looked at the website ( www.swsteelguitar.com ) and advance tickets for this event are only $50 for all three days. That's a remarkable value for just about anyone! West of Dallas and St. Louis, this is a really big show and is growing quickly.

T and I are going to be performing again this year (and maybe one or two of our bandmembers) so we hope to see you there.

I agree Mike. It really sounds like the show is shaping up to be super. I'm excited to be part of the staff band again this year and I'm looking forward to working with all the great players that will be on the show.
Your's and T's performance is always superb and a highlight of the show. Can't wait for that. Barbara and I are charged up and ready to come out west.
See ya soon,

OH yeah...did I mention that the staff band alone is worth the price of admission? DEFINATELY!

Great entertainment, socializing and shop talk at it's best. Also, the weather is very mild in January (60's to 70's), palm trees, lots of sights and plenty of great Mexican food!.

About those advanced tickets,we have sold a lot of them and feel certain the show will sell out by show time, but for now there is plenty of seats available but don't wait too long,we don't want anyone to miss this greatest show in the southwest.Call me at
928-402-4779 for tickets, thats all three days for $50.00,you just can't beat it.
Hope to see you at the show.

Danny Sneed and I are playing in side-to-side clubs tonight on the other side of the world but we talked about possibly trying to get to the jam for awhile on Sunday (tomorrow). Hopefully we'll make it out for some visiting.

Terry, I'm looking forward to seeing you and hearing you after all these years myself. For those of you who have never heard Terry live, you're in for a special treat by a master of the instrument.

Mike,

It was great talking to you, and I'm looking forward to being a part of the show again this year. Also, thanks for posting the link about Performance Steel Guitars.

As always, getting to visit with all the players, Fred, Billy, and the rest of the gang, that make it such a pleasure to play this first class event.

Cya in January,

Jerry

John,

It'll be great to see you there my friend! You'll also enjoy the weather. When Jerry called the other day, I was cleaning the pool while the dog was taking laps in it. Jerry said it was 30-something degrees in Ohio at that moment. Kinda puts it in perspective doesn't it?

See you cats there!

P.S.; John...Mel Brown says hi
