For all "singing steelers" - How many of you also use head sets for vocals? I have started a little while ago and really like it. No more mike in front of my face (and between me and the fretboard), no more mike stand next to my guitar. I only have to be careful with cursing after mistakes... Smile

Kind Regards, Walter

Hi Walter,
I have been using an Audio Technics PRO8HEx for over 12 years now and I couldn't function without it. The mike is always where it needs to be.

Been using a headset for many years. I made a clip that attaches to the leg (2 broom handle clips bolted to the back of a Goodrich plastic clip) to hold the on/off inline switch.

I used the Pro8HEx for several years, I recently returned to using a mike stand & regular ball mike, since I sing 90% of the songs in my group, I have found that I can put more feeling into the song with the mike stand & regular mike, when I need to move back a little from the mike on many of the songs, it just works so much better for me. I use a mike stand with about a 19 or 20" Gooseneck, & have no problems seeing my fretboard. I also play quite a few instrumentals & never move the mike out of the way. Hey, it works for me, but I still have 2 Pro8Hex mic's just in case!!

I've been using one for about 18 years ..AKG ! I think I might be ready to upgrade though cos it's starting to crackle and fart a bit ...but it has lasted well.
The only way to go for PSG.
