Short history. The original Raven company was founded by 2 men, Ray Heffron and his stepson, Eric Bergquist. When Ray died suddenly and unexpectedly, the company went out of business. Eventually Eric resurrected it under the name Ravenwest. At the time of Ray's death there were 300 unsold guitars in a warehouse, that were eventually sold at an auction. I bought two of them. This is one. (The other one is purple.) I put the alumatones on this one so they 2 guitars would sound different from each other
This was their top of the line, the RP 450 hollow body. It is fully hollow, and does not have a solid block running through it like a 335. It has a short block to support the bridge and tail piece, The rest of the guitar is hollow.
Because it's thinner it's less prone to feedback that a full size jazz box. Being hollow, it can get that mellow jazz tome, but it also can get a lot brighter tone for other kids of music.
In addition to the alumitones, it has a push pull out-of-phase switch in one of the pots, and an earvana tuned nut, for perfect intonation on every fret.
Recently I tried out a real $4,000 PRS and I have to admit, the real one was a little nicer and smoother. But on a scale of 1 to 10, with the real PRS being the 10, this one is a 9.
$450 or best offer.

No kidding.
Hey, this is a really nice looking axe. I've emailed some of my guitar-playing friends about it. I predict it will sell quickly. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

I have owned 2 RavenWest 6 string Basses and still one tele, which to me is a great vaule for the money. I currently own a handmade Sandberg 7 string that I replaced the RavenWest with.(5,000 bass).
I can't speak to Raven guitars, but I know the current owner of RavenWest, the son of ower of Raven Guitar. Mike was the contact for these guitar, and very grateful to him. If I did not have 24 other guiatars, and 4 steels, it is very tempting.
