Here is a new track recorded using the Alumitone Pickup. "There goes my Everything". For those interested the guitar is tuned to "E" with a G# on top, playing through a Vox Amp set to Tweed 4x10, and recorded with a Zoom H2 Digital Recorder.

These PUs sound great on every steel I've heard so far. I'm sold.
I'd like to hear more of them on guitar and bass.

But James, you gotta stop slanting with that Dobro bar, or you'll make folks think it can be done! Razz

That sounded great James, nice job!
I'm going to have to give one of those Alumitones a spin on one of my upcoming steels.

+1 on the slick reverse slants with the grooved bar...liked the "rocking" ending, which maybe proves tone isn't always in the hands... Very Happy Nice job!

Great tone, really nice playing, James. All of the Alumitone clips I heard sound great, but this is the best clean tone I've heard so far. Thanks for posting.

Thank you all,

There is a thread on no Pedals right now about which might be the best Bar to use on Lap Steel, I was just thinking that my "No hands" playing might be the way to go.

James.
