Too bad you had a less than pleasant experience, Stu.
Saw her at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco a few weeks ago and she puts on a heckuva show, and has great stage presence.
Doesn't seem possible that she's a mean boss, but then that's not the first time I've heard a story like that.

Paddy, my old band did some gigs with Rosie in Germany and Holland, had no problem with her, in fact still hear from her now and then. You will be using back neck quite a bit, as most of material is rockabilly influenced. She is a real good guitarist.Have fun.Malcolm |

I've known Rosie for at least 20 years. I've played on 3 or 4 of her LP's, and have done more than a few gigs with her. All I can say is lucky you... she's one of my all-time faves. She's always been a sweetheart to me, and she can rock with the best of them.
Please give her a big hello from me.
PS. Make sure your drummer can shuffle... |

I worked with her for a couple months back in 1988, my experience with her was better than Stu's, and not as pleasant as Skip's. I enjoyed playing her gigs but we butted heads on a couple issues and that was that. I still run into her from time to time. No doubt, she's a talented woman and you should have a good time. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Rosie played in my neck of the woods for years in the 70's and early 80's at a club in Encinitas called "The Stingaree" with some very talented folks in the band. I recall the guitar players' name was Lee Barnes and he played a Strat that seemed to hang all the way down to his knees. She has changed a great deal since those raucous days. |

Paddy don't worry at all. I've known Rosie for some time and she has mellowed considerably since the days of the types of incidences that Stu and Herb described (I'm sure quite accurate). She is a strong personality but seems only interested in having fun when she plays gigs nowadays. She's a real sweetie and you will get along great with her. |
