Could it be Mike Jones on steel with Barbara? I know he played for her for a few years.

Dickie Overby was Ronnie's steel player for years. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

Mike Jones is the most likely one for BM, but Paul Franklin also played with her, and I think that player kind-of looks like him.
On Ronnie's clip, you're probably right about Dicky Overby, but it could also be Bruce Brooks, who played with him after Dicky. With only a shot of the hands, it's hard to tell for sure. |

I am not sure either who is playing steel on each video. The Ronnie Milsap steeler was playing an Emmons guitar which is what Mike Jones played as well. At any rate is sounded pretty good. |

David, This being an award show it could be anyone,
But the top of that emmons does look like Weldon's as does the hands.

Guys thanks! My money would be Weldon on the Ronnie Milsap video. The playing sounded familiar but I'm not nearly as good as some of you out there in recognizing styles of some. I didn't think it was Dicky since it didn't sound like his style. |

Seems like early 70's she also had Wayne Hobbs playing steel. He left her in about 75.
I think his hair may have been alittle lighter. _________________ Ray Harrison
