I am in no way a guru on the C6-neck. My new Zum Hybrid 9+9 has a few changes that are new to me. I would like to get some tips on how to approach these changes.
Pedal 4 (Doug Jernigan pedal)
String 6 + I/2
String 7 + 1/2
String 8 + 1/2
String 9 down 1 whole tone.
Pedal 9
Lowers string 5 a whole tone and raise 10 a whole tone.
LKV lowers string 6 a whole tone. For the D in the middle.
Any input appreciated. Thank's in advance ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________ Emmons D-10 P/P 78", Franklin D-10, Zum Encore. Sho-Bud LDG |

Greetings Tore!
I've often wondered about Doug's P.4 myself.
It gives you an Eb9#11 on strings 9 thru 4.
It gives you an Eb9add13 on 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 3.
Then again, Doug might use it as a melodic scale position. Or both.
At the moment I'm going through his "Jazz By Jernigan" tab book to find an example of how he uses it, if he does in that rather large work. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |
