My 3rd string on the C6th is sort of hanging. When i press the 4th pedal, the C note returns sharp ( about 20 cents ). But then i can press the knee lever and then the note trues up. I oiled the changer and roller nut and it still does it. Also the cross rods have plenty of travel so i dont believe that is the problems. Any thoughts?? _________________ "Hotrod"

Austin, rod drag and crosbar drag. Come to mind. With the toe of your shoe. Lift up on pedal 4 and 7. And see if it (The 3rd string) returns true to pitch. Also, if you're now using a heavier guage string? You could be over tuning. However, you mentioned you have plenty of slack. So over tuning is not likey the case. But check to be sure. Just my first thoughts.....bb

Hey Bobby. The problem is still there. Its nothing major, but it still makes me wonder whats up with it. Any more thoughts? _________________ "Hotrod"

Austin, I'm sorry. I misread your first post. 20 cents is major in my book. First what changes do you now have on your 4th pedal? I assume you are raising string 3 with pedal 4? Or not. I was thinking pedal 7 when I wrote the first reply. ......bb |

To help narrow the problem down, loosen all of the rods associated with the problem string so they are out of the picture. Then activate the changer by hand and see if it returns ok. If it does, look for binding underneath the guitar. If the problem is still there...it is in the changer. If it is in the changer it could be binding or even something as simple as a lower return spring not strong enough.
Keep Pickin'
