When you are finished trick-or-treating, come on out and see something REALLY scary. Me on steel. I'll be playing with The Wissler Family on Sunday night. Steel, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, stand-up bass, and some really great harmonies. A fun show indeed!
Sunday, October 31
8:00 PM
The Wissler Family (with Matty Charles And The Valentines)
@ Pete's Candy Store
709 Lorimer Street in Williamsburg Brooklyn www.petescandystore.com www.thewisslerfamily.com
Who knows, maybe a witch will cast a spell on me and I'll play like Lloyd Green.

You'll need to learn how to play the theme songs from The Munsters or The Addams Family...

A perfect opportunity to use the BOO-wah pedal?
Jeez, Howard, I was sure you'd be in there with that one.

Thanks John! It was actually a fun little show. It's a small place, but the sound is good and it was crowded on a Sunday night.
What more can you want?

Sorry to have missed you Lawrence. I'm still out weekends on the island, at least for another week. I'll catch you soon. I want to hear you on that sweet little Emmons! |

Lawrence, I too have to apologize for missing out... I had to fly out of the country the next day, so that's my story (and I'm sticking to it, yeah.)
Funny to hear we turn out to both be playing with the same dude in different bands, from what I hear from Kevin... I think I might catch you guys at Kings County Opry next week if I can make it out.
For what it's worth... I don't know if the push-pull has single-coils in it... if it does, you are in for a world of hurt at Freddy's. The noise floor was really high with 60 cycle humming in that joint. |

Turn the amp up loud, put a brick under the back of the volume pedal, and pick real hard, short phrases. |
