Does anobody know where I can buy D'Addario strings. What I am looking for is individual strings as opposed to a complete set. I had a website I used before but for the love of me cannot find it again. Any help will be appreciated.

Good source. I get all mine there, and they are reasonable too.

You might also try FQMS.

Hi all,

Sorry to jack the thread, been searching all over these foums and beyond.
I´m set to buy some C6 6-string lap guitar strings for my friend. String gauges of his choice are:
0.15p, 0.17p, 0.22p, 0.26p, 0.30w, 0.36w.
Apart from the link that David provided I seem to draw blank with searching/googling for my friend´s designated gauges (single or sets). Are those guages unusual for C6 6-string? Is he unreasonable in wanting that particulare gauges? Are there any other
WWWs where I could look for those guages (apart from obvious juststrings.com and such)?

Again, sorry if my question is not posted in appropriate thread.

Thanks,

Kresimir

Kresimir,

If you click on the Strings link at the top of the page, you can see that those gauges are within the range suggested for that tuning. I would suggest you buy the strings via the link at the top of the page, as that way you'll be supporting the Steel Guitar Forum as well.

I generally buy my string sets through the forum here, but I have found that you can buy individual strings of what ever gauge you want through Guitar Center. You might check them out if you have one near you.

Thanks guys.
To be honest, SGF is the first place I looked at. I´ll go a notch deeper, explore some more and compose a list for my friend to digest. Maybe he´s just to demanding.
Thanks,
Kresimir

Hi Andy,
If he really wants good D'Addario's, tell him to go to 'Addario's website.
He can buy the individual string guages including the "chrome flat-wounds".They are not cheap, but I feel they are the best money can buy.
Good seeing you in Joliet,
Terry
