It's in Winnie Winston's book, Pedal Steel Guitar. He calls it Londonderry Air I & II. His version III is for C6th. His book is still a wealth of information for players of the pedal steel, beginner or not.

Don,
I have that tabbed in E9th if you'd be interested.
It is tabbed out as "He Looked Beyond My Faults" and the lyrics are by Dottie Rambo, however, the melody is the same as "Danny Boy".
That song has been played and recorded under quite a few different titles.
I borrowed a little from Buddy Emmons on the tab, I believe you'd like it. Very Happy

Rick at steppingstonemusic.com
has done an outstanding job
of tabbing out BE version of Danny Boy, imo.

Erv's is excellent also.
Get'em both.

Great study in chord construction.

Worth the money.

I have a pretty version I play on E9, I do it in the key of C. And yes the gospel version is the same as the country version. Both songs are pretty powerful.

Mickey Adams has good simplified version on YouTube. No tab but reasonably easy to follow.

Danny Boy is in book 3 of the Shobud beginner series books. The book is probably hard to find - I got mine in 1972 or so when I bought my Maverick from Sounds Good of Evanston, IL. I thought it sounded pretty good a few years ago.
