I'm in need of a wiring diagram or detailed photos of the underside of the control plate for a Gibson Console Grande. (like Don Helms) It has volume, two tone pots, 3-way neck selector switch.
This is my 93 year old uncles and the top neck at times is very faint. I figured I'd bring it home and clean it up, and give it some TLC and restring both necks for him. Thinking it would be an easy fix I took the control panel off and found some very fragile wires. Both P90 pickups are fine. Any recommendations for someone to rewire this?

Kevin,
The problem with the pickup being weak may be the neck switch. Wiggle it a bit and try exercising
it. Spray some contact cleaner on it.
If it is worn, it can be replaced with a "tele" switch.
I'll e mail you a copy of the wiring diagram.
