Cody Lawson ( codylawsonband@yahoo.com ) is looking for a steel player. I am not connected to this endeavour. All contacts should be made to Cody.

Please find below the details of what he plans to accomplish:

I'm trying to establish myself so I can do this as my sole job. I'm 24 and graduated from college 2 years ago, but music has become my real passion. So rather than taking a full time job as a football coach, I've decided to take the "leap of faith" so to speak, and make this album.

This record is independently funded between me and my family. All recordings were done at the Zone Recording Studio in Dripping Springs. Keith Davis (fomerly of Kevin Folwer) produced it and played all the guitar. I also used studio musicians for bass and drums.

My current band consist of me and my lead guitar player of the past 2 years. My bass player and drummer just graduated from college and have moved away. I'm currently getting ready to audition for those 2 spots as well (if you have any leads of bass let me know). I'm shooting to target the Texas / Red Dirt Music Scene. I want to ideally have 2-3 shows per week regionally in the state of Texas at the bigger venues and county fair & rodeos. Would like to follow in the steps of other Texas acts that have made a name for themselves, such as Pat Green, Roger Creager, Kevin Fowler, Jason Boland, Randy Rogers, etc. I feel my stuff has a vintage "dancehall" feel, so thats what I'm shooting for.

No road crew or anything for now. Just armed with our gear for now, and preparing to get a trailer. Can't give any concrete answers on pay yet, but I would definantley make it worth everyones time. Probably what ever would be reasonable starting out for people to play with me. I just really want to surround myself with good musicians who have no drugs or drama issues, and can take this record to a great live performance. Also looking to get a booking agent and radio play as well.
