I just wanted to pass on some info about the steel guitar show in Chattanooga, TN for next year. There has been a rumor that there may not be a show, but I wanted to explain what was going on. Barry Gilreath has decided not to do the show but he has turned the show over to Larry Self. Larry Self hosted several sucessful shows in FL in the eighties and nineties, so this one is in very capable hands. When Larry does a show it is first class all the way. I know he has already contacted many of the players and it looks like a fantastic lineup. He also is lining up an excellent backup band, which is, in my opinion, the most important part of any sucessful show. The show will be at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo as before which, of course, is an excellent facility.

I just wanted to post this for Larry to let everyone know that there will be a show on May 20th & 21st, 2005. We will post more details later as things progress.

I will be there as I have since the show's inception.
Once again, my wife Linda and I will be handling the "live" sound and from experience, this is a MUCH easier room than St Louis.

I'll be there also. I'm looking forward to working with Larry again. I worked several of his shows in Florida and I second what Herby said about Larry putting on a first class show. I just recieved an email from my buddy Paul Polish, a great drummer, and he confirmed that he will be there also.
Hope to see many of you forum members in Chattanooga May 20th and 21st, 2005. Let's give Larry a great big "welcome back" by showing our support for what I know is going to be a great effort on his part to give you a superb show.
See ya at the Choo Choo....

First of all I'm glad to see that Larry is "back in business" with this show. I was fortunate to be a part of a number of his Florida shows and I'm sure this will be a great one.
I hope to see you all there.
