Hi Y'all. I"m planning on picking up a DD-3 soon and would like to hear from some of you as to the settings you use for it. It looks like it is designed to set on the floor and therefore difficult to change the settings. I am thinking of how to mount it on some sort of leg rack. Thanks for any input. |

Howdy Terry
E level 11 oclock
F back 800 1 repeat
D time 1100
Mode 1200 oclock or on 800ms
This should help you get started. Jack _________________ Zum D10 8x5,rev pre-amp, TC M300, Split 12, n-112, IZZY, Hilton vp, Geo L, BJS Hughey, Live Steel |

What's the difference in the DD-2 and the DD-3? I've got a DD-3 on the way also, just wondering what the difference in the two is.

what do you mean F Back 800 1 repeat?
Are you saying 1 o'clock position for Feed Back?
the F Back knob just has a minimum and Maximum position, no 800 or repeat. |

Chris, on my DD3 I set my Feed back knob at the 8:00 oclock position to just get 1 repeat on the delay. Some like more than 1 repeat and by turning this F back knob clockwise you get more echos or repeats.

Hi Jack...Thanks for the settings info. The DD-3 got here today and looks like you were right on on the settings. Pretty cool sounding little gadget, but like anything seems like it can be over used. Do you guys leave it on pretty much all the time? |

You are welcome, Terry---- For a stomp box delay I personally think they are as good as they make. I leave mine on all the time when I use it with my N-112. I just use it with the wall wart---no batteries. With the delay timing knob set where I have it, I can play fast or ballads and the delay doesn't become a bother. I mostly use it when I practice as I use my rack system when I go play out. Got my first dd3 from Jeff Newman long ago and used the heck out of it for years and it still works fine.

I make a leg mount for those for $12.00 + Shipping it's in the accessories for sale section. I haven't bumped it up for awhile but Ray Devoe has one and I'll find his post and give it a bump.

How is the best way to hook TO hook up a DD3, between the amp and volume pedal or volume pedal and steel. I currently have it between the amp and volume pedal. Thanks,CGG |

Try putting it in the effects loop, after the EQ system, if your amp has one. Otherwise, I would put it after the volume pedal as I like the echo to finish when I cut the volume off.
Others may disagree.
