I couldn't help noticing a few guys at the ISGA with back problems walking around. I have had a back problem for years but this year has been the worst. I have been on the old tablets and have regular Chiropodist treatment. It must be our heavy instruments over the years that has done this to many of us perhaps.?

I bought an Evans AH200 amp with an Evans SES200 15" cab from Bill Stroud while I was in Nashville. I have gigged it 3 times now and absolutely LOVE IT! If you want the big, clear sound from your steel without the back ache, I thoroughly recommend trying out one of these set-up's. 200 watts of power in an amp that weighs just 5 lbs! and a speaker cab thats just 30lbs.

Hi David,
I'm so glad the setup worked for you, but I knew it would it has so much power & punch. The light weight is what I like, and to have all that power in such a small unit is great.
Also Scot at Evans Company is always there to answer any questions you might have, he is really good to work with.
Best Regards,
Bill

PS: If anyone wants the same setup without two different pieces, you can get it in one cabinet called the SE200 Amp but it is 35 lbs, cabinet size is 22"H x 21.5"W x 11.5"D.
If interested in one contact me at bjsbars@frontiernet.net or www.bjsbars.com

I have a herniated disc and cant lift more than 25 lbs safely. I bought an Evans head from a forum member and an eminence neo loaded marrs ultralight cab. I can carry this rig myself without any probolem and i think the tone is really good. I supplement it with a tube preamp/overdrive pedal(SD twin tube classic) for when I want some "grit" or full on disotrtion. with the tube pedal I can actually get a really good guitar sound thru it also, so i only have to lug one amp for double duty gigs.

It turned ut to be a really good rig for me. I only wish I had a properly matched impedence on the speaker so I could get full power from the amp. Its still plenty loud, but i play in LOUD bands.

Hey Buck,
How's yours working out, Buck got himself an AH200 Amp Head and two SES 200 Watt Speakers, just wondering if you have used them since getting them last week in Nashville at the jam.
Your Firend,
Bill

Congratulations David! Evans makes some great amps.

On the other hand, if any of you are looking for a heavy amp that's harder on your back, try a Fender Twin. Mr. Green

Evans amps are great. Great for electric 6 string guitars too!

I suffered 4 months with a terrible backache last year.

Dave, I think you may have been having back trouble when you made this video. If not, I would get a professional opinion regarding your body movements when you're picking. You never know, you may be hurting your back while playing your guitar.

Great duet by the way. Smile
