Still having problem figuring out Tom Brumley's solo break for the Buck Owens song "In the Palm of Your Hand". The first part of the break is fairly straight forward but the second half has a subtle harmony that I just cant seem to figure out. Ricky Davis mentioned that an open string was used but I am still having trouble. |

Ray if its the part Im thinking about its a half pedal on pedal A. or the old sweet lick on strings 3&5 say you want to go from C to a D go to 8th fret A pedal down on strings 3&5 release A pedal at the same time slide back to fret 7 and apply the B pedal. or if you have a 5th lower use it instead of moving back to the 7th fret. if thats not the right part give me a time in the song to reference to _________________ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvuH7H8BajODaL_wy3_HSJQ |

The version you are looking for is from the 1966 lp Open Up Your Heart. The lp you list in your post is from 1973 and Jerry Brightman was Buck's steel player then and that version has no steel solo in it and was done at a faster tempo than the original. _________________ Rebel |

Actually if you click on the link I listed in the previous post a page will appear which will have a button that says 'play song'. After clicking on that, a bubble with 'web matches ' will appear and once you click on either of the matches the version of the song I am talking about will play.
I believe that what Joseph was saying is got me on the right track. Its just going to take a bit of time for me to get it down. |

Tim, I would really appreciate a copy of the tab. That would be great! |

Tim,
I have mixed feelings about this, since I paid you to write the tab for me. _________________ ----------------------------------
