any ideas on whats the best for E9 extd. 12trng. I have been using E9/B6 sets. but can't buy those at any ol local music store. E9 sets are more available and c6 sets are available.

Who will do custom sets? I have been fooling with the Zane Beck E13 tuning and have wound up robbing from both E9 and C6 sets I had, so now I have a lot of extra strings I don't need. If I stick with this tunign I feel it will make more sense to order some custom made sets.

From the Forum catalog you can order an E9th set, then add two singles for the low strings. Since I like heavy strings with a wound 6th, I use the Ricky Davis E9th plus a .046 and .056 nickel wound.
