Z B Custom #1062, This is a D 10, 8 pedals, 3 knee levers. This PSG is a donation to the Steel Guitar Forum from a dispute between Curt Jarvis and Carter Guitar. This is an old guitar with some modifications. The money from the sale goes to the Forum with a big thank you to Bob and Joey and the guys for their work on giving us a place like the Forum. This add will run for 2 weeks and the Z B will go to the highest bid. I donโt have much time to correspond about the details but will add what I know about the guitar and some pictures.
I bought this guitar in Iowa 3 years ago from a guy who could play or string the instrument. He had bought it from Florida. Gregg Jones says the guitar was made in ARK. 1967 and sent to Don Sulusky ( sorry about the spelling). Since then the Guitar has been shortened (They cut the key end of the guitar off about 2 inches with the horns). I donโt know why but they did do a good job of it I did not know of this mod until Gregg recognized it. The guitar has a red finish and sounds great. My computer is not uploading the pictures at this time and I will continue to try. |

SO...Are the bids to be sent via PM so they're secret ?
Or are you gonna do a free-for-all, smack-down, "who can get the last bid in at the last minute" thing ? |

I will be posting pictures of this guitar tonight. It appears that someone painted it red. It also appears that the E9th changer has been removed and replaced with something else. |

Why would someone do this? They only lost about an inch of length, going by the amount of wood showing at the end of the neck. The look of the horns is one of the things that is so cool about a ZB. Without the horns, you guys should be ashamed to bid anything on this, it would be totally a useless embarrassment to play, and an embarrassment to the memory of the design of Zane Beck himself. I'm appalled that you can even look at those pictures without feeling ill.
I, on the other hand bid $380, as I have no shame! |
