Word has it that the guitar is a Rickenbacker DW~16 D-8, but; you'll have to ask Eddie Cunningham who the fellow is! There's a lot of nice stuff on there!

I know this topic has been covered many times on here, Gary Brandin, indeed is mainly responsible for the steel playing on Sponge Bob, but a good deal was also contributed by my buddy Jeremy Wakefield. Contrary to popular belief, Junior Brown did not play ALL of the steel on the show. I think he was featured singing and playing in one episode.
