Talked to Reese last year and he said this guitar was built april 1974 as a 8X2, it is now a 8X4 I have had it for 2 years it is clean nice under carriage stays in tune has a plastic MSA original case, kinda a 2 deck affair nice and narrow to haul.New strings on both decks everything works a real good modest price for a new player. $1100.00 plus freight nitrojohng@msn.com
509-939-6078

New Info- The guitar only weight is 53 pounds
Guitar and case weigh 77 pounds

BEAUTIFUL. And a great price.[this is JUST my opinion] This is one of the most dependable guitars ever built. Played a 74 just like this for years. I'm old and it was getting to heavy [they are heavey] for me,Traded it a few months ago for a 76 MSA S-10 CLASSIC She to is built like a tank. Don't know about the new ones,But these old MSA'S will wear you out before you will them. Reminds me of these large Amazon parrots,Better have someone to leave it to. YOU BETCHA, DYK?BC.

just to put things in perspective...everyone always says msa's are heavy...a fully loaded emmons d10 is a real tank also, as are sho-buds.

According to my bathroom scales my D10 Emmons outweights my D10 MSA by 1 pound. 74 to 73.
