This is the BEST guitar I have ever played!.. Bill's new 700 series is by far the best he has ever built and is one of the best built on the market today. He has made several new changes and has a couple of new patented changes on the 700 series that in my little opinion are fantastic.

I will be playing at the Iowa Jam this year on Saturday so come out and hear the great tone of this new guitar.

Blessings, Albert

Albert has worked with me several times. I have heard this Williams 700 steel guitar up close and personel and it is one sweet steel. Albert is not too shabby of a picker himself. God Bless Paul Burton

Hi Albert,

Could you you give your opinion on the Alumitone, compared to the Truetone, 710 or whatever you have previously used on a Williams.
Thanks !!

Olli, I have tried several different pickup in the past including humbuckings, Wallace tru-tones and others. I have always preferred the tone and sound of single coils, however since I play at many churches, the noise factor has caused me to use humbuckings. This Alumitone is like having the best of both.

The first thing I noticed was that the tone "cuts through" the band mix much better now. The high end is clear and sweet without being harsh. The bottom end is rich and full without being boomy. Plus the factor of "zero " noise is great. I believe that shortly, this pickup will be the standard for pedal steels.

Blessings, Albert

I think the pick up would fit or you could shave it down before cutting the body.
Here's some pictures.Smile

Gary, Bill installed the pickup for me. But i believe he did not make any cuttings for it to fit.
