Springfield Mo. songwriter Johnny Mullins who wrote such hits as Company's Comin' and Blue Kentucky Girl passed away after a long bout with Alzheimer's. Johnny was a janitor for many years in the Springfield school system, and went by the nickname of "The Janitor's Friend". He was a friend to all. Rest in Peace Johnny. I'll miss you my friend.

I read about Johnny back when Blue Kentucky Girl was a hit the second time. What a great story. Hank, Fred, Roger, Harlan--shove over and make room for Johnny at your table up there.

Michael, Johnny sounds like a man I would have liked to known. May your friend rest in peace with our Lord.
