Are there any steel players playing in Bristol this weekend for the music festival? I'll be there playing a tele & would love to duck out & catch some steel.

Thank you,

SK

Steve, Eddie Trent will be playing Pedal Steel at Peggy's, Friday and Saturday Night from 7:30 to 10:30 PM, located in the Outdoorsmen's Club Building on 11-W about 15 miles from Bristol going towards Kingsport.
Other than that, I doubt if you will find any Steel Players playing in the Bluegrass Festival they're having there this weekend.

Hey Roger I know what you mean. We are playing Friday night but we are using only acoustic instruments. I will be playing mandolin and acoustic guitar instead of steel. A lot of the groups in the festival are celtic or Americana. A good line up for the "Birthplace of Country Music".

Well, I didn't see any steel, but there was a lot of good bluegrass. I didn't get out to see the out of town PSG gig Friday (on the road) or Sat (playing in a bar at the festival.) I did hear plenty of good banjo, mandolin, dobro, etc.

Gary, I was playing with a folk/rockabilly band called the Old Line Skiffle Combo (MD is the Old Line State.) I was switching between a tele & a banjo (still working on the banjo.)
