Hello Everyone,

I have decided to sell my Thomas single neck. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this instrument, there are just some other things I would like to acquire. I also prefer double necks.

Early Thomas SD-10, single neck on double frame, 3 pedals, 5 knee levers, Emmons setup, White/Silver swirly formica, Red vinyl pad, Polished aluminum levers and pedals, triple raise, double lower, George L 10-1 pickup, lacquered wood neck with distinctive inlay, Brass rollers, Endplates are chrome plated steel, Built in Modesto, CA in late 80's or early 90's? The #5 lever is a vertical on the left knee and appears to be made by Mullen.

This guitar plays and sounds awesome!!!

The only issues are:
One mismatched Grover tuner. If I can find one, I will replace it with the right size.

The pad is not original and is too thick for my taste. It is as high as the strings. I have black tolex on the way to redo the pad. I love the red, but its not for everyone.

The knee levers would not adjust wide enough for my knees so, with the help of Terry Bethel, a slight amount of material was removed to allow more width in the adjustment on two of the levers. Also, the adjustment set screws were missing. I am trying to locate some so that the levers can be adjusted narrower for players with smaller legs.

Not really an issue, but I relocated the left knee levers closer to the back of the guitar so there are a few extra holes. This does not affect the tone and in my opinion makes the guitar more comfortable to play.

The case is a standard carpet style case. It looks like the interior was redone at some point. I will get pics as soon as possible.

That's about it. Barry Thomas is a master machinist and a fine steel player. Although he ceased production his guitars are among the finest built. I believe he is now reorganizing his company and will soon begin production once more in Oklahoma.

$1500.00 plus $100.00 shipping in the lower 48 United States. Will deliver to the ISGA in St. Louis to save you on shipping. I also am willing to discuss delivery arrangements for a 100 mile radius around St. Louis or meeting halfway.

Ask any questions you wish, I will do my best to answer them. If you would like any other pics, let me know and I will do my best to post them.

This is a fine steel guitar with a great tone!!! I have held off on selling just because it is such a nice instrument, but now is the time.

Thanks,
God Bless,
Michael T.

This sale is still pending to Stephen, but I just wanted to show that the issues have been taken care of.
The guitar has a new black pad, knee lever set screws and a matching mini Grover tuner.

What do you think?

I'm almost jealous he's getting such a nice guitar LOL!!!
