I got to meet him and play a few tunes along side him in the Rains Booth in Dallas. WOW.....that was a Trip.....he is awsome and so tasteful on the E9th.
Thanks for allowing me that experience David!!!
I remember Gary said I should leave the booth because I made his "Rains" sound to much like "Sho-Buds"!
Oh Well Not sure what he meant by that? Rolling Eyes
I had a blast, a GREAT bunch of guys!!
Wish we could have been at Scotty's too.
Neil

The Mullen that David is playing I just got it at the convention. I had the Alumitone Pickups put on it with the suggestion of Tommy Dodd and let me tell you I am well pleased with the tone of the Steel.
David played it like he had played it for years, it is setup different from what David is use to, but he didn't miss a lick he played it very well.
Mike Mantey, Del and crew thanks for building a great Steel I love it. I know the knee levers are a little stiff because I'm pulling both necks E9th & C6th which gives me the pulls that I want on the C6th neck.
David thanks for putting some great licks into the Steel, I can still hear them.ha ha
Looking forward to Dallas coming up in March, can't wait.
Bill
PS: Thanks also to Scotty for taking the time to come to the Mullen's Room and hearing David for the first time. I don't beleave it will be the last time.

Sorry I have not emailed you yet, I will do it at the weekend.

I really enjoyed playing this new MULLEN G2 of Bills. Great sound too with the Alumitones PU's.

I was wondering who else lowers their G#'s to G on the A pedal like Bill Strouds new G2?

I was wondering whether to add it to my Rains on a RKU ?

David

David I've got that on all my Steels, I like it on the outside because I use it along with the A pedal works great, it also gives you the minor chord using just that pedal, different phasing. Like you are in the third fret G chord push the G# to G and it's a G Minor.
But playing any chord and move back one fret with the G# and A pedal and can get a lot out of that pull.
David we really enjoyed what little time we had together it was great.
Shirley said hello, and tell Fran hello for us.
Can't wait to hear about your new Amp setup.

I hope to get to play the New G2 next year in the Mullens Room, looking forward to it.
Thanks again Mullens for making this Steel.
Bill

Micky Adams is some kind of guy, he is always trying to help people that he's never met before and the ones he knows, always lending a hand to those that's reaching out for help. My kind of guy.

Glad to have Micky & David added to many of my friends. I have many, too many to name.
I am Blessed,
Bill
