Anybody know what year " Gary Stewart & Dean Dillon " was up for " Top Vocal Duet " with the ACM? Johnny Mosby was The President and Charlie Cook was the Chairman and Eddie Dean was Vice-President while the prodessional muaicians was testing out the G&L Guitars for Leo Fender. Hee Haw was still # 1 from Roy,Buck and the whole Hee Haw gang and Bob Boatman,Alan Courtney and Sam Lovullo. It was the same year that Buddy Emmons,Lloyd Green,Weldon Myrick,Sonny Garrish and Jay Dee Maness was up for Steel Guitarist of the year. Also,Fan Fair was getting hot in Nashville with some newcomers like Lorianne Crook & Charlie Chase.Maybe they were still to young! these guys are the epitome of nashville honky-tonk hell raisers! gary's gone now but dean is still writing and, i would imagine, partying.
this was 20 years or so after i was taught spelling and grammar, though i still excercise the right to not push the caps button on a keyboard. |
