This is a great site for the Carter brand.

Bless you Ann for your invaluable help and advice to me way back when I was just making my first venture into the website swamp.....and John, you made the purchase of my first Carter easy with your help in the blindfold test of demonstrating your guitars, and Bud for your demonstration of how well the Carter's are made.

I will always remember the help and respect that all of the Carter team gave to me when I was buying my first Carter.

I love my carter steel good tone, best for the price on the market, light weight, and easy to make changes on . Bud is a master builder. But that one with all the ugly fish and crabs and sea weed i am sure it sounds good. But i would hide it under a blanket . only play it when home alone. Too much for me.But thank to Carter they have some fine guitars you can afford.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Bill - that aquarium on legs is unquestionably the ugliest steel I have ever seen in my entire life. Oh Well

Geez guys lighten up. Remember steel guitar manufacturers, even the most prolific are only a few people doing the work, if they from time to time want to go out on a limb and do something wacky, especially something like this that takes a lot of thought and craftsmanship, well let them have at it. Don't you think after building 100's of black and chrome guitars you'd want to do something a little unusual?
I am not a Carter owner or player but they go to a lot of effort to put on a great display at the show and their booth is set up to allow people to play their guitars and they have lots of very attractive guitars to look at---I say two thumbs up John, Bud and Co!!

I admired this "fishy" guitar up close. While the actual design is not my cup of tea for a steel guitar, the art work is fantastic! The detail work is one of a master of the craft of inlay. It is easy to see someone put their full heart into this work of art. I am thrilled I was able to see it for myself. Pictures don't really do it justice. I am very appreciative the Carter booth was there. It became a networking place for me. Thanks to all the Carter folks for being there! Very Happy

P.S. I love my new powerslide!

Don't get upset, Jay, it's only my opinion, and that in itself usually puts me in the minority. Besides, I apologized to begin with, to those it might offend... Smile

I thought the "fish" guitar was gorgeous. I think more builders need to take some styling chances. Most PSGs are just too boring.
