BILL COOK!!! What day you going up? I been offered a ride up with Indian Joe from Opp, but he's going up a couple days too early for me. It'd be much more fun to ride with you if you got an extra seat. We sure had a ball going to Dallas in 07'...

I'm also hoping to catch a ride after the show up to Indiana with somebody. Gotta go see mom in Elkhart. She's not doing very well. I haven't been "Home" in 9 years. It's costing me a small fortune to have someone stay with my dad down here while I make this trip, I need all the help I can get.

Ruth and I will be there! We will have a table there to show off a few of the new amps we are building. We will also have some of the battery-less mod chips and N-112/N-1000 mod kits available.

We can also take back amps for mods and/or repairs as we are bring a 5 x 8 cargo trailer with us.

Bummer! I'll be flying into Nashville late Saturday night (9/26). Do you have recommendations for any nice steel guitar gigs to catch on 9/27 or 9/28 in Nashville.

Any pointers would be great.

thanks,
-vivek

I think the time Jumpers are at Station Inn on the 28th. Paul Franklin is usually there!

Is there any recommendation for sunday the 27th?

best regards,

Vivek; When you arrive in town, inquire about a fellow by the name of Danny Mahamid! He plays both PSG and switches off to Lead-Guitar. He plays both very well and may just knock your hat in the creek, once in a while. I don't know him personally and I guess he doesn't know me, but; I pay attention whenever he's present! If you ask about Nick Reed, they will probably ask you: “Nick Who?”! (I just couldn't let that opportunity go by!) _ _ _ Nick; I'll see you at the n.t.s.g.a. Super Dooper Super Jam on Sat. 9/26, unless your long awaited playing-job finally came rolling in! I might even be wearing my ‘Thinking Hat’!

Vivek; Lloyd Green is a very busy session-player and I haven't seen him in a long time, but; I know he's still going strong! _ _ _ Well Nick, I saw you at the Jam yesterday, but; I guess you didn't see me and I guess your gig didn't come through! Sorry ’bout that! Maybe you need a new hat!!!

I had an incredibly fun time at a way cool event! Smile I want to thank Jan, Cookie, and Will for having me, and letting me perform on Friday at a great time slot! This show is now highly recommended by me.

Ruth and I had an awesome time! Herb Steiner's fine Western Swing playing was a real added treat this year. He kept everyone's toes tapping!! Great job and I hope he will make this show a regular event. Bobby Bowman and Herb did a great job bring us some Texas style playing and hospitality as well.

The list of players was awesome. We also had a chance to visit with some great players not on the lineup such as Terry Bethel, Buddy Emmons, Larry Sasser and Mike Douchette (I am sure I missed a few more). And yes Buddy was with us all of Friday night, looking great and from what I could tell had a wonderful time with his old friends!! It was just great to have him share some time with all of us.

Mike, I will find those pictures from the 1992 show you were on with Tammy here in the Valdosta,Ga area and get them to you! I was on the warm up show that night, as we were the house band at the Silver Fox Lounge. What a night that was! So good to finally meet you there at the show!!

The staff and other musicians were as good as I have ever heard at any show, no exception. Wish I could just take Jan Jones with me everywhere I play. Jan is just about as fine a drummer as I have ever heard in my life. He has a rim shot that puts you in the pocket and just makes you want to keep on picking!

Had some great younger steel players as well (getting older and can't remember all the names). That was so encouraging to see these young folks playing so great and joining in with the rest of us for a great time on and off stage.

This will just have to become a regular show for us! We had to much fun not to go back next year!!!!

I also sincerely thank Jan, Cookie, and Will for the opportunity to do a little pickin'. Mary and I were thrilled to be there and felt like we were undeservingly treated like royalty.

Too many highlights to go through it all, but I just have to brag on the music made by Cookie & Rusty with the Broken Spoke Band on Saturday night. WOW!!!!

I also echo Ken's assessment - Jan is FANTASTIC, and the staff band the same.

To Bobby Bowman: BB, you know i luv u! THANK YOU!

And finally to some of the best people in the world... my chatroom buddies! Hook Moore, Frank McBride, Jim Walker, Jeff Hanson, Wayne Morgan, Chuck Campbell (who am I leaving out?), you guys are the best! It is my privilege to call you friends!!! It was great to see all of you.
