My band "The Long & Short of It" will be at the Virginia Beach Farmer's Market this Friday night (Aug. 21st) from 7-10 PM. The band features my wife Kay on vocals, Don Yount on bass/vocals, Gene Gregory on drums/vocals and myself on pedal steel, lead guitar, Dobro, & mandolin.
We'll have some local guest artists singing with us throughout the evening. My favorite will be Earl Neal who can do the Ray Price songbook and do 'em well.......Hope to see you there....JH in Va.

Dear Jerry,
We haven't met, but I heard of you here and from Rick Mann. I'm at school up north, but will travel home Friday night. If not too late, I hope to swing by, and if I don't make it this time, I'd sure like to see you guys the next time. Best wishes for a fine show.
Very respectfully,
John |

Jerry.. have a safe trip. If you decide to come south give me a holler. when you go thru Texas, look up the gig schedule for Jake Hooker. I got to see him a couple weekends ago when we were in Ft Worth and Rick Price was honking -- great tone and a fine gent to visit with!!! We enjoyed some real fine steel playing and great song selection and singing by Jake. It would be WELL worth your time!!!
Have fun.
