I have an older Ltd 400 that is all of the sudden making a frying noise, sounds like eggs in a skillet. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or could direct me to a possible fix? I know nothing on the workings of this amp. Thanks in advance. Mike

I fix these amps and could not really point you to anything you can do to fix it!

To many possible things and you need proper test equipment to locate the problem

Does it make this sound without any cable or guitar connected?

Check the solder joints on the pots(to the printed board),They are skimpy and will cause the frying sound.
