Ummmmmmmm, I thought I had told you to clear your bookings with me before you accepted them? Why do you persist in booking gigs in my area when I'm already booked or out of town. STOP IT!!!!!

A-ha!!! I'm in town that weekend and so far only booked for friday night. I just might make it after all!!!

Apparently it is YOU who persists in booking gigs for yourself after due notification of a possible conflict with a date I am playing in your area.
STOP IT!!!!!

Mr. Forbes: my lawyer, a partner in the firm Dewey Cheatam & Howe, advises that DVA's last post constitutes an offer to pay you any & all lost wages you may incur in the process of cancelling said employment opportunities in compliance with Mr. Van Allen's demand. It is suggested that you appear at Mr. V.A.'s place of musical employment at stated hour and demand compensation.

What would be an appropriate thing to throw at the stage? Please don't make me borrow (or remove) something frilly.

Oh yeah, have fun.

Mr. Light (hereafter known as "the party of the third part");
MY lawyer, a pardner in the firm Hungedunga, Hungedunga, Hungedunga & MacCormack advises me that Mr. Forbes (hereafter known as "the party of the second part") was the first to jeopardize Mr. V.A.'s (hereafter known as "the party of the first part") music based income by insisting:
Quote:
I thought I had told you to clear your bookings with me before you accepted them? ... STOP IT!!!!!

Therefore the party of the first part is within the party of the first part's rights to request that the party of the second part cease and desist his disingenuous postings and to point out the party of the second part is nefariously attempting to negate the party of the second part's prior agreement to appear at the party of the first part's venue to witness a performance of the party of the first part.

Secondarily my lawyer advises me that the party of the third part should mind his own bees-wax.

Either that or we should all have a party and play some three part harmonies.
Sanity Clause:

quote:
Otis B. Driftwood: It's all right, tha-that's in every contract. Tha-that's what they call a sanity clause.
Fiorello: Ha ha ha ha ha ha... you can't fool me. There ain't no Sanity Clause.

something Frilly, eh?

BWAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Touche Mr. Van Allen!! You have me nailed to the wall, but this will be one of my only chances to take a vacation, so I gotta go. Will be leaving for the beautiful mountains of western Virginia first thing saturday morning. As a bonus, I get visitation of the dog (the ex has custody), so Elmo gets to take a vacation too!!!!!

For you Mr Lupkin and thanks for the great link!:

quote:
And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away ho ho hee hee ha haaa
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away ha haaa

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I said
That losing you would make me flip my lid

Right? You know you laughed
I heard you laugh. You laughed
You laughed and laughed and then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad

And they're coming to take me away ha haaa
They're coming to take me away ho ho hee hee ha haaa
To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away ha haaa

A bump for the road...
