I heard a great steel guitarist last Saturday night with the Jamey Johnson Band, Mr. Eddie Lang, does anyone here on the SGF know him personally? His playing knocked me out. |

I believe that would be: "Cowboy" Eddie Long. Yep! He's a dandy! |

My hat is off to Jamey Johnson for the way he featured steel guitarist Eddie Lang throughout the entire show. |

I think Tommy is right. I think it is Eddie Long that used to play for Hank Jr. playing for Jamey. Eddie Lang plays for Bill Anderson unless something has changed. |

Eddie Lange, Bill Anderson's steeler, also plays with Joel Van Tassel, Randy Mason, and Rick Wright, collectively known as the Music City Playboys. I believe their current schedule includes Mondays at the Nashville Crossroads on lower Broadway, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Music City Bar and Grill near Opryland, and Thursdays at the Preston Hotel near the airport. As all things in Nashville, that is subject to change. I think Eddie Lange needs a nickname to help distinguish him from Cowboy. In light of his recent health kick, I suggest "Lean Eddie Lange". |
