I have an opportunity to pick up a Pro-Fex II for a very good price. I doubt that this unit was used by a steel player and any factory presets may have been edited. My question is: Are the Newman steel presets available? - maybe they are on a ROM that can will load defaults when the unit is initialized.
Bottom line - if I bought the unit, will I be able to find and install the Newman presets?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Tim, I've got a copy of the presets in a doc file somewhere. Not as easy as dumping from a card but just as effective. Let me know and I'll send them to you. God Bless. Whip _________________ Whip Lashaway

I have two profex II's, the documentation, Jeff Newman's videotape, a preset card, and spare parts. We can find a way to set you up. Buy it. Ken Fox may still have the "batteryless" mod available too. |

Hi Tim, I have two Profex II's and a card which is loaded with the best of the Newman settings and also has some great presets from Larry Petree out in Bakersfield which I use most of the time.
If you are not sure of how to download the card into your Profex, let me know and I'll send you a copy of the page in the user manual that explains the proceedure.
I have the batteryless mod in both of my Profex's and would be happy to send you my card and let you down load them and then send my card home.
If your interested, send me a private message on the forum and with your address and I'll send it to you...alan _________________ Mullen (Black) Pre G-2 9x7, B.L. 705 PUP's, Evans SE 200 Telonics NEO 15-4, BJS Bar, Peterson Strobo Flip, Steelers Choice Seat, Folgers Coffee and Hilton Pedals.
